When we look at the music
And see a bunch of black,
We freak out.
Maybe it's because we are afraid.
The music isn't scary,
But it's beautiful and mesmerizing.
We might be afraid.
Maybe afraid of something that isn't there.
When I watch couples kissing,
I become sad.
Not because what they have is sad,
But because what I don't have is sad.
I just want to be loved by him,
And when I see this with others,
I realize I can't live without him,
But I have to.
When we look at something others have,
We get so angry and hateful.
Why is this?
Because we can't have it.
When we see something,
We see it as we are,
Not as what it is.
Most things we see
Are not truly that thing.
Author notes
Well, the quote was: We see things not as they are, but as we are...
I went over the line limit a bit, but I hope it isn't too much? I already deleted two stanzas... but I hope you like it.
