Reflections taunt images,
collecting sympathy in cracks
and backward visions -
chaining silence to lips
that stitch perfection;
miniscule fragments sketching
echoes in vacancy.
Eyes chase blanks
to barricade themselves in
blindness:
threatening seams to collapse
under haphazard lacerations
that held emotion
at ransom.
Breath flutters;
self incision
adding burdens
to escape.

i empathize with your feelings, but as for your work it is right on. i love the emotion. i love the use of language. i love the style. bravo.
i understand those feelings all too well, unfortunately. sometimes we just have to release something... it doesn't matter what it is, be it pain or through pain.
you had an eloquent way of expressing yourself while saying more than enough to represent thought.
best of luck friend

That whole stanza is perfection, I nearly swooned. I am amazed by how you can take a prompt and make it your own. And the ending was wonderful.
