In days of old,
ladies wore brooches;
a particular type of
brooch was called a
"blessing pin."
On the front of this
brooch was a flower,
which in Victorian
days was easily
deciphered as to
the meaning of the
flower and the pin.
For a blessing pin
with the image of
a crocus, it signified
protection from harm.
Those who wore it carried
the shelter of God's Love.
