Rippling vortex of confused feelings
Under its pits life holds sea of hurts & regrets, waiting to
Explode your spirits into pieces
Frowns come knocking at your door
Relentless worry makes home
In the roots of your mind
Enemy seems to be the world
Never ending seems the pain
Depression comes to stay
Silence starts to echo all around
Hiding away doesn’t do the trick when
Inquisitive time nags on your mistakes
Probably then you need a dose of a true friendship
Obscurity drips from the clouds above
Filling your gasping air with stale thoughts
Amplifying the magnitude of weakening heart…
Fear never even then, if you’ve got a friend by your side
Reaping the fruits of your true friendship, taste the nectar
In the middle of the garden of loving support, you’ll find
Eternal peace, courage & strength when you open your bleeding heart
Not holding back your entangled emotions, before a true friend, so…
Dive into the depths of the ocean of true friendship of a friend
…and watch your mind at ease & your broken heart heal…
…this is the power of true friendship of a friend…

This is what a true friendship means to me & hope, pray & wish I can always be a true friend. Just this acrostic came to my mind while I was driving to work today, hhhmmm, I wonder what it means?????

Usually when people try to fit a poem into an acrostic the overall power and flow of the poem is sacrificed, but you did an excellent job with this. I didn't even notice the acrostic until I was halfway through. Good descriptions of the feelings behind friendship, thank you for entering.

I loved this piece. You -- along with my two or three efforts with acrostics -- have shown that they have as much depth as free verse or simple rhyme.

Brilliant lines! Semi-imagery, personification and emotion ALL wrapped in one!
I loved the structure and each line you put tells a story continuing from the one before. Such talent put into this piece! True friendship will conquer all sadness and despair, but it is so hard to maintain those friendships. Both parties must always be willing and life will be a breeze. Thank you for such a good write. 9.5/10!

I really liked this, I thought that your description was a lot deeper than most poems of this sort. One of the best Acrostics that I've read!
