A broken heart,
An empty page,
That longs for beauty,
Brought with age.
A childish face-
Despising youth,
A heart which strives,
To mask the truth.
A mind which dreams,
And fails to live-
For fear that life
itself, won’t give.
A hidden face,
Amongst a crowd;
No doubt afraid,
To speak too loud.
A laugh which starts,
But wanes to gray.
A smile which breaks,
and fades away.
A voice which talks,
But longs to sing
For love-
That only age can bring.
