Vicious, violent, ugly
This is what you have become
fighting, hitting, masking
the face that we all love

I bring life, I protect
couldn't bare the thought
of wrenching other's blood
of knowing it was my fault

Fights break out in the night
I somehow know that it's you

You're just acting like a fool

Smiles to frowns so sudden
Frowns turn to being numb
hiding problems no more
taking a great sum

As I walk down the stairs
just to ask how you are
You tell me you're so great
and hold the victor's star

My face turns pale
I run to the place
the place I once walked
to find my friend's waste

Lying on the cold tile floor
unable to move a muscle for help
He has cracked your arm
but you have cracked his scalp

I stand there unable, myself
to call for help, much needed
frozen, sick, and worry fills me
as I watch an old friend bleeding

Help arrives barely in time
he has lost a lot of blood
all you say "he had it coming"
as fear whithin me floods

I cannot speak to you
no matter how I try
You have lost your only friend
In which makes you cry

two days later a call from home
"Your old friend has died this morning"
As I cry and weep I think of you
You're the cause of all this mourning

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind
Means nothing to me anymore
For in the death row line you stand
Wishing you had listened to me before
