We dance macabre
Under this pale moonlight
While immortal wings
Make illustrious flight
As the cloth of time,
Each waft and weave
Collapses to bring
Us all to our knees.
Then we shall learn
Of humanity's truth -
Being young in the mind
And yet long in the tooth.
With slim sliver of smile
The new dawn will come
But never again
Shall we see the Sun.
Author notes
This is a Write-in-progress, I unfortunately fell asleep after writing the above and lost my flow. Unsure what (if anything) should follow, so any constructive criticism is more than welcome.
