Relapse

If once an addict,
then always an addict,
now two ways about it,
you are always afflict.

Four months your clean,
and the relapse hits hard,
now falling to your knees,
without your trump card.

Cocaine or alcohol,
whatever it may be,
fearing in the corner,
never again be free.

Yes I agree theres a certain helplessness coming from this write. It almost sounds like a certain slavory to whatever the person is addicted to. I really like this keep writin!

Such sadness and helplessness in this one for me, quite fitting with the picture. You expressed it really well with nice rhyme. Good job, thanks for entering!
