Bitten by Fire

Missing image
Tastebuds flower on flavor;
succulent fruit
sweet as the rose
and the thorn.

Parted petals,
poised like knives-
lithe blades
sharpening sensations.

They brush wildfire
and scorch desire
as bodies dance
a tangled conflagration.

Warmth,
dribbling down
from lips to skin;
the blood
that your teeth drew.

    hmm. I don't really know what to say. I love the first line... 'flower'... You know how much I love nature imagery.

    The last line creeped me out a bit, but I guess it was in a good way? How do you manage to do that, Marty?

    thankies you for sharing.

  • OOOoh!!! Wow - that does have a great bite to it! Such a very well composed piece of passion ignited. I adore the references to fire, that in itself is quite intriguing. Great imagery flowing along a brilliant (and quite unique) approach of love's bounty. Excellent write!
