casual day of honey,
his smell lingering like bees
in lengthy flowered hair
strung heart at throat,
silvered from tears
when it was golden
hands wrung
the tiny morsels
picked to eat
in afterthoughts
of growls
eyes vacant,
scene displayed
and on reflection
he had never been there
at all
