The Trees that stand before me,
Full of wisdom aged with grace,
Their branches and their limbs twist as if to compose a face,
A face that speaks of many days of war,
Sifting through lifetimes, centuries, and so much more,
Those in which have fallen serve a purpose other than your own,
Now they provide shelter and a place to call home,
They become the chairs new mothers use to rock their child to sleep,
They become the beds in which the children dream,
Whether they are standing tall to greet me or fallen by a stream,
Trees are an essential part of Mother Nature's team.

Amazing -- really liked this piece.
"Trees are an essential part of Mother Nature's team." ~ that is just an adorable line and concept, and sums up the poem very nicely.
