I care too much to let you hurt like this;
I cannot idly watch you in such pain.
I’ll do my best to lift you from this abyss
But please don’t let my efforts be in vain.
You’re beautiful, if you can only notice
Each quality of yours that I admire!
Your strength and courage are as of a lotus
Beautifully rising through muddied mire.
You mean too much to me to let you suffer;
Your life is more important than you know.
Though times are hard, I know that you are tougher!
Despite these troubles, you’ll rise above and grow.
I have so very much respect for you
And I have absolute faith that you’ll prevail.
Trust me; you are strong! You can pull through!
Someday these worries will feel more to scale.
I’m here to listen and to cheer you on;
Through thick and thin, in me you can confide.
As certain as the coming of each dawn
I promise to be always at your side.

I used to feel this toward a friend but he ended up disappointing me and hurting me more. I did everything for him and tried to be everything he needed and he never noticed and he didnt care..

Thanks... I'm sorry that your friend hurt you and didn't appreciate how much you cared. That really is the worst. Strangers can inflict incredible pain, but when a friend does even the slightest thing to hurt you even if it's just not noticing your efforts, it hurts so much more because you expected and hoped for more.
