Oh Lord

I know you must be weary of hearing
my pleas, as I come before you with
a bowed head and bended knees.

Asking for forgiveness through your mercy
and loving kindness from my sinful ways,
needing you more than my mere words could
ever say.

Please don't turn away from me and let me
continue to be the slave of evil ways, but
bless me and teach me the righteous way
to pray so that you would hear what I am
truly saying.

I give thanks to you my Lord in the promise
you've made to me that if I believe, then
you would surely set me free from the torment
of sin.

And would become more to me than just a friend,
never would you forsaken me. Instead you would be right
beside me lifting me up to your righteousness...

Author notes

Everyday I try to repent all my sins and ask God to renew me and become more than just my friend...
