Over time of being best of friends,
one who knows your every sorrow they do mend.
In time and often years we embrace,
but tell me what was so different about today .
Could it be you had a hand in the turn around ,
could it be you paid no attention of all around .
Could it be today being upset by what others say,
could it be someone else wanted her out of the way .
Friendships for life tell me where did they go,
how we are with each other and the joys we show.
How did it turn around in a single day,
how could she have used you without you knowing along the way.
Could it be a mistake for love doesn't just stop,
could it be she is crying just as you it wasn't her fault .
Could it be this friendship a love of years gone by,
how does best friends in one day say goodbye.
Friends talk and mend each others hearts,
friends settle arguments from the start.
Friends stand by each other through thick and thin,
she is your friend so now lost and both your hearts are on the mend.
Be the friend and give her a chance to tell her view,
listen to her side through and know she still loves you.
Let not a friend of years slip through your fingertips,
for friends are hard to find often lost through whispers of gossip through others lips .

For to lose your best friend then later find it wasnt her fault its a heart breaking feeling . Give it your best to find out the truth and let her in talking your friendship can be renewed.

wonderful poem a best friend is like a achor on a ship the anchor never lets the ship sink and poeple who spend ther life gossiping about others to me are not true friends as friendship has loyality and trust how true the following lines are wonderfully penned

I feel like I am losing my best friend. We are growing a part, doesn't help that we live so far apart now. And I am only moving farther away. She doesn't like my boyfriend now at all. Because she thinks that he is the reason I am moving closer to my family. But it is so untrue. I am not healing good after my brain surgery, & I think it would be best to go to the original doctor that put my shunt in the first time. She never really liked Michael, but it didn't bother me, I would over look it. But now I can't because he has been my rock, & she is trying to get me to really leave him. He has took care of me since my surgery. I love him more for that. Yes we have had our bad times, but doesn't everyone? It really bothers me that she would start with this now of all times. You know since my surgery, we have barely talked, not by my fault because I call. You know what hurts the most is that I miss her do much I sit & cry. (worse thing to do when you always have a headache) Anyways wow that was quite a ramble. I am sorry. The poem just hit me hard & brought it all out. Thank you for sharing. Good luck in the contest. I SAW her steal something of mine. Outright steal it...not the 1st time either.. this was a material posession.. the first time, it was the man I loved!! some things cant be forgiven.

Aww, this really touched me, because lately I've been having some thoughts about my best friend... Past things were making me upset inside still. This makes me feel like, well, we are all human, and everyone makes mistakes - forgiveness, and being there for eachother is what it's all about Thanks for sharing your write
