I could spend the night singing to you chansons de amour
every time I smile you smile.
Then you arms open like the wings of a butterfly
and accept me into you.
The music a soft crescendo under the moon.
The roar of ocean waves would be our love making
ebbing and flowing to peaks and rests then peaks again.
Would it ever end?
Only when our bodies were exhausted
and we lie bare on the bed
entangled in each other.
Lips quivering with the salt taste of the other in our dreams
It would only end then
so it could begin again.
