Forgotten Memories

Forgotten Memories
By: Rannison

Can't remember when it was
I stopped hurting, and began smiling,
Alone for so long, that bliss seemed gone.
But it began with that November night;
Sitting in my car, with you in my sight,
Nothing ever felt more right.

Can't remember when it was
You ceased hating, and started speaking;
Aloof all the time, a smile a crime.
But it began with that single phone call,
Don't know why you picked up, but it changed all,
And nothing ever felt more right.

Can't remember when it was
My face first flushed from your touch;
Though just a friend, you sought to mend.
But it began with that laugh and kiss,
And invoked something subtle but vis,
But nothing ever felt more right.

Can't remember when it was
My fears died, and my tears dried,
And hope sprung out, where it'd been without.
But it began with a nervous question
You answered with no hesitation,
Then nothing ever felt more right.

I remember when it was
I stopped liking you and began loving you.
Blind for so long, that void is now gone.
It began with that one November night;
Sitting in my car, with you by my side,
Nothing ever was more right.
