Standing at the railing
My fate is in my hands
Unsure, and terrified
Still is where time stands
My heart is beating oh so loud
It pounds against my chest
Oh so many sleepless nights and days without some rest
Cars rush by but no one stops
Because they cannot see
This mess that stands before them
Is the girl who once was me
The sunset is so beautiful
A picture so sereen
Then me standing by the rail
A much less peaceful scene
A bead of sweat, glistens
A tear rolls down my cheek
To leap would just bring smiles
And make me seem so weak
But staying here I die inside
And no one hears my cries
So now my friends here it goes
These are my last goodbyes
I tried so hard to love you all
I hope that this you know
Buts its to hard to love myself
So its time now that I go...
The metal rail is painted blue
Its cold against my skin
My foot now stands upon it
I know I cannot win
I spread my arms out wide
And feel the rail no more
Knowing I cant take it back
Makes me even more unsure
But then I feel IM FREE
The wind aainst my face
The water burns like needles
Im in a better place
