Serenity
I burned my receipts cause the deadline has passed
And the flowers I bought are lost in the grass
Searching the woods for identity theft
As my soul sways in serenity's breath
The ants are crawling out from their nests
They march to the pendulum inside my chest
It swings and swings and we take baby steps
Stagger and slip as the trees are undressed
Fragile and wayward I'm feeling like glass
Delicate derelicts rumage through trash
Like plants in the sun they are waiting to bloom
But the seeds of tomorrow have drowned in their wounds
The pyramid cracks and out come the bums
Scanning the ground and sucking up crumbs
Longing to light the flickering bulb
But they cannot see the oncoming flood
What meaning can you get from this poem?

Welcome to Allpoetry!
Wow this was an awesome poem, it had a certain rhythm or beat to it and I liked that. I'm not quite sure what it's about, and I don't like to dwell on it too much as to take away from what it really means, all I can say is that it was quite poetic. Awesome rhyming, keep it up!
Blessings,
