So oft I dream a fonder place than this,
With happiness, too kind to frame this fool,
Who dreams of summers hot perspiring kiss,
Where gales of rain are Autumn’s glistening pool.
Where Cherry’s bough, sits sweetly on the tongue,
We rest in gilded meadows, crisp in flower,
Where Natures lasting beauty- ever young,
Delight- too great to grace a simple hour.
And wondrous is the lark in morning song,
Where rainbows, which upon the sky do seam,
The weaving of God’s prism soft yet strong-
The outline of a pleasant love’s young dream.
Where flimsy fantasies will whisk away,
One only dreams to live this fonder day.
