Since You Believed

I wandered if you'd ever listen
even though I shouted from the cross
would you be affected... by My blood that spilt
and would you forget those stripes, so gross

I waited in patience... while you carried on
eating, drinking merily,while my heart ached

how could you push Me aside for other gods

when all  I ever wanted was you to love me, My way

 

I cried all the while

yet in agony and in pain,I'd still wait

believing you'd change your hard, hard heart

to love Me and the other god's...forsake

 

oh but then...

you came with humble heart , bent knees

now tears of joy,

forever fall from heaven

....since you believed

    Wow the Lord is shedding tears of joy with this poem. Wow I love your take on this picture. I love this picture. Your poem is just the flat out truth. It's like Jesus is talking to you in the poem. We forsake him and treated him like he was no friend, yet in his sacrifice, forgiveness through his grace those whom believe are saved!! Oh yes just a sweet, ever so sweet poem. It's like music to my soul. So deserving of the gold my dearest friend.

    That ending actually gave me chills, and I don't think I'm getting sick! I can see His tears of joy in heaven. I have to tell you that the ending is PERFECT!

    God does wait with patience for us to come to Him. LOVE this. ~ Joyce
