Lying on the couch I close my eyes;
watch patterns of shadows and light play
Listening to a song I like on the radio dial;
I just want to live a simple life
Peaceful as possible,
by a woodland
Open meadow or 'glades;
with my paper and pen
Know I'll never fit again into
the mold intended for me by many
Nor will I fit into old slim sized jeans; I've
become much more of a loner than I used to be
The desire for most luxuries has
been painfully debrided from me.
I rarely shop, seriously;
my treat is writing.

I rarely shop either. Mainly because I'm so damned cheap though. And it's boring. It's always nice to read poems about people not caring about fitting in. While everyone longs to belong somewhere, it's more important to continue being an individual.

YOU JUST DESCRIBED ME!
EXCEPT THE JEANS
I AM WAY TOO SKINNY,
WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES I GET A RAINBOW OF COLORS,
IT IS VERY REALAXING,
THAT IS. WHERE I GOT MY NAME FROM,
I AM NEVER GOING TO FIT THAT MOLD AGAIN,
NOR DO I WANT TO.
SO SHOULD I BOTHER TO SAY I LOVE THIS

OH I WILL, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS
GOD BLESS MY FRIEND
