a peace within my breast,
Nor sight of bluer waters laid
my weary heart to rest.
Yours are the pools I seek to find
where healing waters lie,
A place where I refresh my mind
while life goes rushing by.
For deep inside I always know
your springs won't let me stray,
My soul inside me cannot go
in thought so far away.
Your mossy shores awake in me
a dreamy deja vu,
Give my thoughts some clarity
through depths of crystal blue.
You've captured me in present time
and thrown away the key,
Florida, I'll skip your brine
your springs bring joy in me!

Author notes
I was fascinated by Dr. Masaru Emoto's findings and actually and indirectly knew this for, "what is without is within!" Florida has some of the most beautiful spring pools that resemble "Gardens of Eden". I have always been attracted to them without knowing why but I innately knew that they make me feel so good. So I take Emoto's finding one step more into my personal life with this poem.

May your soul...
always reflect those things in nature which are true, for therein is the love of beauty born in all it's many shapes and forms...a beautiful poem reflecting the love of nature...you have wide open eyes my dear friend, but like mine, sometimes must close for rest and regeneration to awaken and see and marvel at whatever tomorrow will reveal to them

Your love of nature is evident here but I could easily read it on different level as well. Anything or anyone that brings that much joy has to be admired. And as always, your talent for form and function is second to none. Good luck in the contest.
Sincerely,
Leo Long
