Prairie parching under
the ultimate
pyromanical protagonist
Wilfully, she waits,
witnessing the wyvern wind
whetting its wanderlust
Silently she sits
high on a hay bale
as the inexorable
incandescent
inferno
inevitably approaches

Stunning imagery here. I like this too. Wonderful writing here. Good luck in the contest my friend. I love the way you have creatively used words here.

this is really neat! I also, really enjoyed the alliteration. Gave the impression of a tongue twister, said quickly and wildly...much like the disaster that is approaching.
"Prairie parching under
the ultimate
pyromanical protagonist">>>>this is my favorite stanza. I love the word "parching"....i think of parchment paper being set of fire, and that stuff burns quickly!! great imagery here. And the Ultimate pyromaniacal protagonist... this is interesting. I get the feeling this is in reference to God, who is perfectly just, but who's divine retribution is .... well.., has a huge impact lOL. Sorry, my words are failing me
a great piece. I'm sorry i could not give a more detailed comment, I'm pressed for time
.
thank you for entering and g'luck!

Liked the alliteration in these lines - neat picture to write about too. Liked where you took this prompt.
