Leahs Special Day

Today is the day you turn one year old
A special occasion's about to unfold

Family and friends will share in the joy
Each of them bringing our Leah a toy

Presents with bows and bright shiny wrap
Which Leah can open upon Mommy's lap

High chair at hand you're sat with pride
A cake with a candle there at your side

Then all will sing your birthday song
While you try your best to sing along

You'll blow and you'll blow while onlookers laugh
When the candle goes out they'll all give a clap

Grandma will snap pictures of your little sweet face
With ice cream and cake smooshed all over the place

People will kiss you and make funny faces
You'll enjoy the attention and all the embraces

All this for you our Leah dear
Because we love you and are so glad you're here
