Beginning Again

Missing image

Exhaling deeply,

resignation & determination

cause me to rise

within this terrible tide

& face memorable music,

pausing only to saunter

without surrendering,

then slowly sway my way

through another doorstep

of undisclosed dreams,

awaiting discovery

& occasional delight.

I pack hope first,

stubbornness second ~

faith & courage & fear

come next

as I gather the remnants,

the bouquets

of my life & love,

preparing for the next phase

of this unending pursuit

of passion, purpose & possibility.

None of us knows

what tomorrow may bring,

still, we may choose

our own definition

with our eyes & ears wide open

when the wind

turns wild

once more...

    FANTASTIC WANDA!

the first two lines really set the tone for this piece. you poured it all out. i dont know what ur circumstances are, but dispair touches us all. your attidue will carry u thru, no doubt. u r strong and will prevail. your images r great, there is wisdom imparted on this lines. wish u the best always. don't know if u remember my poem "rebirth" goes along these lines. it helps to put it down on paper and let it all out. wishing u peace always...

Love ya right back, H.L. I better be "awakening"...I have to move this weekend.
  • Excellent!

This is wonderful work, and I'm glad you had a chance to get online and post it! You are packing exactly what is needed - while we never know what lies ahead, we can only choose to perceive the route as interesting and filled with possibilities...

I hear you, when the wind turns wild. I hope (hope!!!!) your health is better. Life is a process of change.

Take care of yourself. I look forward to seeing your work again, from a new perspective.

  • I pack hope first,
    stubbornness second ~
    faith & courage & fear
    come next

Without a dose of fear hope cannot fly beyond its own purblindness and you seem to be rising to circumstances and breasting Time's challenges better than expected ... Good luck in the move and move...ment to stimulate not to curtail

  • I am so amazed at that picture... a shirt billowing out the windows and roof like flames! It is like a suitcase over packed, but it is also a necesary item, like all the wonderful qualities you take with you as you gather remants to move--the shirt right off your back billowing in fresh winds and the scrim of new horizons! (to borrow a word from Rich... )

With all the work and preparation, there is one more thing that comes of faith, courage, and fear (respect, love)...and that is fruition. We can choose our own definition.

I like how you approach packing, my friend. All of those "items" are yours, always - nothing can take them away from you: the hope, the stubborness, the courage, the determination, the talent, the heart... This is lovely poetry and so much in tune with what you're experiencing right now. But I know you have the right stuff, my friend. Love you

  • I love this!
The pic and the poem both gorgeous...

You have outdone yourself with this one, my friend...

Sounds like this piece of art may have been inspired by your decision to make a move. I enjoyed it very much. I particularly like tha you are able to PACK your feelings and carry them all with you along with the other remnants of your life. Hope your pursuit ends with all that you are seeking. God Bless You
