Global Freezing. (a Non-Entry.)

Global Freezing. (a Non-Entry.)

I don't believe this ‘Global Warming’ warning.
Whatever puzzles scientists try to solve,
you should’ve seen the frost we had this morning!
I’m convinced another Ice Age will evolve
for, in the ozone layer, a hole is forming
and all the Arctic ice will soon dissolve.

As it melts the ocean levels start to rise
and then the freezing cold from outer space
will turn the swollen seas back into ice
and freeze the arse’oles off the human race.
Green hills of home will vanish in a trice
and there’ll be no footprints found in any place…..

This is Confhughcius' serious prediction
which, mark my words, is not just science fiction!

Hugh Wyles, July 2nd. 2008.

Author notes

When everybody’s bum is completely frozen numb,
we won’t know which is our backside or our face!

Hi Hugh, I sure know what you mean, it's freezing over here in Sydney, I haven't felt it this cold for a long time. maybe being sick is making me feel it more, but boy it's freezing!Enjoyed your poem as always dear King.

So true Babe, it's been freeeezing here in Christchurch, it does make me wonder if you're not right in what you say as it is going back to the way it used to be. Only best place to be is snuggled up in bed with Heath. Love your poem Babe.

Your dire predictions have put me in a funk. I refuse to believe our planet will one day be 'space junk'. Let eagles soar and lions roar and wishes all come true..I pray it's not too late to save our planet doomed by you!

With hopeful good wishes and very many prayers,
    <3 Maureen

    Dear Hugh,

I say it again as I did in your other poem: The winters here are gradually going back to the way they were when we first moved out west, we would sit in our lounge room and freeze and then we had to wear so many clothes to bed it was hard to sleep.
The summer used to see the tar on the roads melting from the high temperatures and the heat would come through the soles of my shoes and burn my feet, we don't get that now. The summers ARE getting hotter once again, as far as I can see it's returning to that cycle we had back then. So whether it's global warming or global freezing it's hard to say.
I loved your poem and if New Zealand is getting colder well, that's where I'll move one day to escape the heat.
    Well said my dear friend.
Whatever happens in the future is meant to be.
    Love Bea

I had a long reply here, but have decided to use it as a post in the contest. Yes, I am very lazy...but also opportunistic.

Well, maybe there's no global warming in New Zealand, Hugh and we'll all end up moving next door to you. Here in Arizona it seems like the summers get hotter and the winters get colder. Is that supposed to be a balance? Or are our weathermen just tossing in the temperatures and let them fall where they will

    A fun read, Hugh
