I sit at my desk hundreds of miles away
And scribble the words that I want to say.
Words strung together in simplistic rhyme
To capture feelings from a moment in time.
First scrawled on paper in spidery blue ink;
A rough draft of the thoughts that I think.
I type words that appear across my screen
Hoping that you understand just what I mean.
I hit the ENTER key, the digital words fly
Then, I hit F-five and await your reply.

Ahh, beautiful. I like it because its as if i'm reading as you're writing each line and as you're commting each action. Love the picture prompt, looks like a Magritte. Couldn't be sure though. x

I am glad that you enjoyed the poem. The feeling you got was what I trying to achieve. I do agree that the picture looks like a Magritte. The clouds are what does it.

I am glad you enjoyed it. There are meanings within meanings in this one. I don't expect a trophy. It is kind of a briefette from Stef. I did not know if there was any merit to it beyond she and I.
