In Passing.

The wilderness is calling,
I could not stay home.
I wander through existence
House to house, alone.
My thoughts float through
My head hangs high,
Too proud to show
How I feel inside.
At night, I do not think
Of what's lost, and what's won
I float couch to couch
Slowly coming undone.
I want to leave,
I want to run,
Living poor
Sun to sun.
But in this world
Of money and mistrust
You cannot live as a traveler,
(I cannot satisfy this lust)
Though, I feel myself too weak
To wander, to stray
Though I yearn to leave
I remain day to day.
