Divine

Surging to replenish,

Waves envelope the land.

Deep blue swirls of energy

Flow swiftly towards the sand.

Surrounding land, umbrella sky,

Protection from above.

Gift of precious soothing hues,

Symbolizing love.

Masterpiece of freshness,

Enticing to the soul.

Peaceful healing power,

Creates calm in the whole.

Heavenly treasures,

Intended to refine.

Conveying stability, serenity;

Celestially divine.

  • Very convincing---divine is a color,
the blue of the heavens and the waves,
    "Deep blue swirls of energy"
    enveloping the reader.

Indeed, the feeling and color of "divine."

Nature, under that umbrella, but not just of sky, but of God...I assume that was your meaning.

    From Genesis 1:

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

I think your poem aptly agrees with those words, is an excellent companion piece, and above all, reads well.

I am glad you entered the contest.

  • Hello.

You have used the colours of sea, sky, etc. to describe the wonder that is Earth. The description is rich pertaining to the form and function of Earth's many facets, as well as offering deeper meanings as to why they are present. And both sky and sea do indeed have a calming influence upon us. Well that is how I read it anyway. Best of luck in the contest.

    My regards.
