wild horses

nostrils flare with such anticipations
platinum manes and soft white bodies
pounding hooves of flinty steel
eyes of the soul's every pursuit
dappled grey and black may follow
softly inquisitive before their flight

endless escape to save independence
gather now as one enduring body

This is wonderfully evocative poetry. You have captured all the feelings I have for these splendid graceful animals in these few lines of verse.
    I especially liked,

    “softly inquisitive before their flight”

    Thanks for posting this
    Love, Peter
