I am a 55 years old man from India. I am in AP for about last 2 years. I like philosophical write specially India based one. I am fan of Great Swami Vivekananda, the famous monk of India who lived from 1863 to 1902. He has given India the power which is gradually exhibiting itself. Whatever I write on God and philosophy,I write it mostly from His lectures. One of such poem I am giving below:
Who am I
I am not body
I call it mine,
Without life it is only matter
Who am I , who am I?
I am not mind
Though it thinks for me,
It guides me as also cheats
Who am I , who am I?
I am not intellect
It is one of my properties,
Understanding comes from it
Who am I , who am I?
I am not life also
It is only opposite to matter
Holding body, mind, intellect together
Then, who am I , who am I?
I am witnessing all these things
Indifferent to all of them,
They are all bound to me
I am free, always free.

Well if I were running this contest, my friend, you would definitely be in my family. This is a wonderful poem you have placed here though it is much more than just a poem. I even like the brief outline of yourself that you included too..it speaks of a person who is comfortable in their own skin and in the place they live and in the life they have.
