Written on February 18, 2007
This piece originated at my Grandmother's (Mom's side) funeral. My brother was like, "This isn't the time or place. Put it away." I did...after I had half the first verse written. I had inspiration to write and I didn't want it to pass me by. I even had to ask a family member for a scratch sheet of paper and a pen so I could write it down. What she gave me was a mini sheet of paper like you'd find in larger notepad. Not like a legal pad, but you should know what I mean. Anyway, when I got home, I kept working at the song and I think it was around 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning before I completed it.
To get to the point, it's a song originally written because of the loss of a loved one, but after reading now it can almost be used universally......almost.

Here's a little something interesting. I was rehearsing with the Praise Team this morning and I was still stumped on a title for it. When I pulled it out of my pocket the ONLY part of the paper that was discolored was around the words "arms of love". Yeah...figure that one out. Granted there were other parts of the paper that were a tid-bit discolored, but that was like just in the creases from where I had folded it.
