Shadows lay imprints
On lost, sunburned feelings
Within golden sands of endless time.
Fury beyond fancy
Troubled, sheltered minds linger
Inside a seemingly doom less grey.
Shadows lay cancer
In clouded bodies that struggle
To uncage their will of fate?
Fury falls beneath their shadow
To uplift pure shiny spirits
Through their abstract road trip of destiny.
Soul Bound...
Their inner color, soon to be found.

Abstract images in the imagination come to life in your write. The picture of the old truck, and the sands of time on which it rests can bring far out images left to the imagination which you have gone with throughout it all..Excellent phrases..Very well done!

I really loved this picture, and you've done really well with it
I love the title.
"Shadows lay imprints
On lost, sunburned feelings">>>NOw, this are really cool lines. Brilliant. My favorite of the whole poem! "sunburned feelings">>>Ouch. Sunburns are painful, and linger, which makes it even worse, leaving red skin that eventually flakes. These people are really hurting. I also like that the shadows lay imprints, darkness covering the burn....i feel that this can either mean, it cooled them, or made them feel worse, like they were being haunted. GREAT lines.
"doom less grey.">>>Now, this is also really interesting. I Like the way you've separated doom and less. As is, it becomes a slightly less foreboding grey, but there is still that sense of doom. Whereas, if they were connected into one word, it would imply the complete lack of doom. So, I really like that.
" abstract road trip ">>>this is also really interesting, like they didn't really go on a physical road trip, more like a trip through their mind and soul!
great piece.
thanks for entering and g'luck!
