She's been thinking quietly to herself
while she lies naked beside him.
He lies right beside her in the same state.
There bodies had come together quickly
[raining sweat and unsteady breath]
but that's all they were today[yesterday]
There was no heart given
when they'd merged together
in the dark of the night.
But she was too confused
with what she felt for him
[it wasn't that forever kind of love anymore]
He knew her mind was elsewhere
as his fell a long side hers.
He skimmed his hands
over her smooth skin where he heard her
unsteady breath quicken
but there was no connection of the hearts
as they once thought
they'd share as one[together]
Some nights later where the sun stood still
high in the sky.
They don't lie side by side;
in fact they're separated now.
Her heart fell from his
and right now she's so quietly a lone
with the wind tearing through the sky.
It's cooling her face;
and her legs crossed by habit.
Her gaze is beyond what sits in front of her
or what lies at the bottom of the hill.
She sits above normal civilization.
She's thinking about what
had to be done for them
to both get on with their lives
[and i don't want to cry a tear for you;
so forgive me if i do]
Fate took it's turn with them
and found that there hearts
were meant to come together briefly.
it spun a good tale; a great love
but this is all that's left now.

My boyfriend and i were together for a great amount of time and we were always really close and now we split up but it was mutual.
But it hurt still, because we had a lot of memories and the heart was still there.
But we're going our separate ways now...
im always going to be in love with him.

It's seriously the story of our relationship.
it just became physical and we both didn't like it.
the heart is still there, the friendship and we're talking about getting back together. i dont know if we'll ever figure it out.
maybe it is for the better.
