the solemness stains this scene
and I watch from above
you sit in silence, solely still
resonating understanding
emanates from my core
I've known you for far to long
you're the only one I've been waiting for
approaching, chaos will ensue
prepared, I take my place
for I alone have seen all of this
for ages, I have stood alone
and in your shadow, passed the night
the silence seeps into my skin
and I lift my frame slowly
rising once again
the moon peeks over the rest
and you raise your hand
I try to see the end of this
but these words are hidden from my eyes
and silence pours from my gaze
as I stand for all time
the fire in my soul will blaze
for as the battle rages on
I stand in silence still
and the moon continues turning
to a violent crimson shade
watching all of this unfold
I cannot help but bow my head
this entropy too much to behold
and as dusk merges into twilight
your final words echo
across the vast empty space
the moon, full, rises over my head
and I lift my palms in ecstasy
your image lingers evermore
and my promises hold true
and in this fatal, final night
my blood is spilled for you

Thanks for entering this into my contest. You had a very broad range of vocabulary. It was interesting read. I wish you much luck.
