Just can't seem to justify
Why I waited
Ever sedated by your smile
Your laugh
You're the reason why
Why I can't seem to grow old.
Ten minutes ago I whispered
something romantic in your ear
Ten years ago I brought you
some kind of flower I could afford
Spending hours of my time
Wandering where I should find
Grass stains on my knees
A wonderful afternoon in the forest
And a handful of daisies
Sixty seven years ago
I got another grass stain on my knees
When I knelt in front of you
My fears reflected in your eyes
Green and smiling
A stare I know
Your face aglow at the sight
Of your buffoon
A piece of string
Tied into a ring
Resting on my palm
So rest your eyes my pretty girl
The bus is almost here

The trip away certainly didn't marr your muse at all! This is beautiful! Sigh worthy! And sigh I did! I love the rhyming through out...not at all intrusive, and I love the sentiments, and the...gosh I love it all! Show me a girl/woman who wouldn't!
