Tutorial; Tube graphics

Open new image

350 x 350 TRANSPARENT

click on the PRESET SHAPE tool

click on PRESET SHAPE

then click on a CALLOUT shape, any one of them. Or whatever you want or have.

click on the new transparent window and drag it into a shape you like

click Ctrl & D on your keyboard to deselect.

Now do whatever you want to it. Ideas…

Warp it – erase the white and replace with gradient –

use any effects – write in it – whatever with it:)

Here is mine after I added gradient and then the carve filter.

Now we will TUBE it

Click on the SELECTION tool

Now encircle your image.

Then double click on the image. This will “snug” the image like below.

Now click on IMAGE then CROP TO SELECTION - OK

Merge your image to MERGE VISABLE under the layers tab

Now you have an image ready to be placed in the tubes folder.

Now click on FILE – EXPORT – PICTURE TUBE

Give your new tube a NAME and click OK

You’ve now created your OWN tube from scratch.

And more then likely it does not look like mine, and that is fine.

There are other methods as well, open a new transparent window and type in it,

use WINGDINGS instead of letters.

Color them, enlarge them, twist them, and warp them. Anything really.

Also use your mouse to make flowers, clouds, stars, trees, grass, weeds -

snowflakes moons, the sun, so on.

And then use your effects tools on them, trial and error normally comes up with an unexpected graphic treasure or two :)

The only limits you will find are in your own imaginations.

Your tube will not turn out like anyone elses, it will be unique with your own person style in it.

I hope this Tutorial has helped you in some way.

Gradient is in the "material window" just click on the color block and a window will pop up, then click on the "gradient" tab.
And "carve" is in the eyecandy filter, but "sculpture and polished stone" are very much like it and can be found under the "effects" tab then "texture effects" ...

I somehow got lost on the selection part. It didn't fit to my form as it should have. Is there a secret I've missed? Otherwise, I followed this really well--up to that point.
