Never before have I always done this
you argue with all that I say,
agreeing with me every time
you talk through the night every day.
Your logic is not confusing
though I can't understand what you mean,
you tell me how much you enjoyed it
in a place you have never been.
Outside there's a beautiful garden
but you always stay in the house,
your temper would frighten a dinosaur
but you're terrified of a mouse.
Of course this is only gossip
and I know this to be true,
my friend says he can't understand his wife
and it just made me think of you.

Ever after I'll always agree, Dear,
with the pearls that wisdom would sew,
though the seasons may change I'll still be hear,
as a parrot repeating "I knows".
Your logic is never confusing,
all too well one may grasp what you mean,
that clay feet can crumple refusing
common sense seems so very obscene.
My mind is a beautiful garden
yet you through my doors like to plunge,
with neither a thank-you nor pardon,
but a mouse squeak whenever you lunge.
Only gossip of course this stays hearsay
although Mr B over the road
repeated it overnight for play
when attending to ME ! Ugly toad !

This is quite funny and delightful - it has that irresistable illogical thing going on in rhyme like you find in Old Susannah that gets me every time.
