Acknowledgement of powerlessness didn't change a thing
-externally-
because admitting a fact is true doesn't mean it was once false.
But that one decision to admit that things had gone completely
-beyond my control-
turned surrender into a solution to the morass of my life
and gave me a rock to stand on in a river swollen with chaos.
-Serenity-
comes from letting go of the past and living life the way it is;
instinctively doing the right thing regardless of the cost, and bringing
-hope-
to a soul that had forgotten the meaning and the power of that word.
Author notes
Those who know what I am talking about will appreciate the words; those who don't.....well, I hope you never have to know.
