Burning buildings light the way
I pray they find me today.
Watch the twilight
I'll be dead come midnight,
I'll die with a picture of you in my hands,
Wishing I could've met your demands
They're here to save me…
But it's me they can't see…
The next day…
I'm gone you've left me this way
They pulled my body from this place
God cast me from his saving grace.
Don't worry, just pretend I'm asleep
And I ask you to keep……
Screaming a lullaby, to keep the dream…
That you had forgiven me…
