moment.

and suddenly dead!

[STAB! oh i collapsed!]

may my blade be the soundtrack to my attempt at rebellion.
what an overplayed phantasm--(crush your feelings.)

[i am slowly becoming unconscious.
tracing a shape in my heart with this sword.]

i fail miserably at everything.
even retaining shape--(i am a mere skeleton.)
and to dust may i return...

[fully alive, the metal sat there delightfully.
and i felt dizzy, knowing this to be my fading.
or perhaps one with the poison.]

i constantly press the sword through my heart.
i painted X's over my eyes and hoped they'd find me dead.

[nudging suicide, the medicine cabinet swung on its hinges.
the bottle materialized as fast as it vanished.
through wet eyes, starving for salvation, everything was fog.
pretend to transcend the cloudy mess as i swallow and cry...]

"oh happy dagger! this is thy sheath; there rust and let me die."

this is so awesome. suicide is a strong subject so it is hard to write a good poem about it. things do happen all at once when adrenalin is pulsing through your veins it gets slower. or your mind gets faster. beautiful poem. i love it!
