I said how are you today
You say I'm doing fine
I say how much I'm missing you
You say it's all in my mind.
I say the sky is a grayish blue
as my heart can see no sun-
you say it's time to move along
as this day's work is done.
I brush the dust from your stony face
you say that it will be alright-
I lay upon your grassy chest
the tears of grief I fight.
I take a rose from today's bouquet
to my heart I hold it tight.
I try to find where the hurt began
and try to turn it around-
but no smile ever enters my face
only a tear, only a frown.
There's so much left to say
so much left to do-

that's really well done! great job. it's always sad to lose someone special. i lost my grandmother two years ago two weeks before sixth grade started. my cousin and i cried almost every night. Great Job!!!
