Sour kissed;
I moved through the hallway,
caressing darkness that flew past my figure.
Each corner staring
at my scarlet gown,
warning me not to head
into our bedroom.
Ready as ever to fixate
on your touch,
denial captivates me into a dream
and I wander into
a lonely memory,
only to gaze at my own shadow
along the wall.
Another regret falls
behind the amber nightstand,
as I looked next to me
where the empty bed cries
in sorrow for your absence
once more.

I totally could see the scene when I was reading this...amazing

-
ooh, that was a touching one, well written and great imagery

Kerri this was amazing! When you sit down to read it it kind of started out like a poem where she was going to find her loved one with another, but then the emptiness surrounding her shouts out that she is forever alone.
Powerful use of imagery, I loved the picture you painted with words absolutely stunning!
Keep it flowing!
Always,
Tati
