Oh, the June rose,
such a delightful scent coming from the velvety touch of the faded pink petals.
As i gaze upon one of natures glorious beauties,
I find it hard to look away as i sniff the morning raindrops up my nose.
Now it has fully bloomed,
And i look at it in amazement and all it's beauty,
and can't help to be sad,because it will soon die and wither away.
As the petals slowly float to the ground it loses it's scent and it's luster.
And the morning raindrops no longer feed it's hunger for survival.
It once was a living thing thriving on this earth like you and me.
Peacefully, wonderfully,and oh so beautiful with a scent that would take to the heavens above.
Now come next spring will we see this same June rose thriving again, but will it be reincarnated or just a new seedling?
We do not know these things ,
and we will not ask because we repeat it over and sniff the velvety rose petals while the morning raindrops trickle up our noses.
Not thinking twice about how the June rose came to be,
So soft to touch,
yet so precious ,and beautiful it has to die and forfiet it's life every year only to come back to and suffer another year.

this was beautiful.
we neevr do stop to think about the little things. we always overlook them. like the syaing you dont know what you have until you lose it. it's the same in this case.
in the spring when the flowers bloom yeah we think there pretty and smell good, but never really appreciate them until winter comes and there all dead.

this is beautifully written with such descriptive words allowing the reaader to not onlyvision the rose in their mind but almost smell it as well.you have brought the picture to life as well as the season of summer as there is alot of description in this piece which I find grasping and effective. beautifully written well done and best of luck in the contest
