meandering within my mind
I stretch unglued.
From all the dreams I bought into,
dirty tears drip from hollow eyes,
as I gaze upon high.
I see angels cry storm clouds,
from a world blinded by sight.
Faded rainbows fear the sun
Waters crash from mere reflections,
from ocean to ocean,
Heaven’s hinges swing both ways.
Tearing off metaphors of tainted hearts,
from an old rugged cross,
to the wars of the world.
I have to believe He died for something,
because I really need a Savior.

The Irony of Salvation
This tells the why of salvation. It is the need we all have to have a savior and to know Him. Our storm tossed thoughts and pain filled lives need to know Him. I especialy liked the lines ( from an old rugged cross, to the wars of the world ) These are so appropriate for the times we live in. When reading this I could feel the depth of your feelings of pain and anguish within these words. Very well written . God bless you and watch over you.

Nicely done piece. I too need a Savior and thank the Lord I have him everyday. I was raised as a preacher's daughter and later in life realized I didn't KNOW God I just touted what I had been taught. So I had to learn for myself. You keep looking...he'll find you.
Pen on...

Must of known I would love this...I need the comfort of my savior...distraught thoughts are never good in anyones mind...beautiful...blessings always~ Trisha

As I read this, I sat completely stunned. Such powerful words, such powerful emotions in those words crying to be released and yearning for comfort from somewhere (from God). This was absolutely breathtaking. So many times my heart feels so hollow but my mind so full that I think it might explode. And at that moment I know I need the comfort of my Savior. Beautifully penned my brother. Keep it up.

"Heaven’s hinges swing both ways"...
this line really brings the piece a weighty impact.
Any who have reached for something spiritually can
identify with the pain etched here, the plea that
sympathy be shown in this moment of weakness.
It's times such as these that we might clearly see
our heart's own past and whether it bestowed a
gentle tone when another was in need.
As I've come to expect, filled with raw emotion.

Tim, this has to be your best of the spiritual writes! One can feel the total abandonment of all to cling to the Savior, midst the trials and tests of life that leaves no thing to rely on, Your words create such a dramatic picture of a soul looking up to heaven for truth, and help....This is a bookmark classic you have written! Bravo, and thank you for this write!

My dear love brother, this just tugged at my heart

Yes, hon; we ALL need a Savior...THE SAVIOR
for without him to guide us, we are as lost sheep
Thank you for reminding me of who and what I am and where my place is
Know that should you need a hug from your sis, I'm but a click away!

The sad ness and longing for escape in this write... just tears at the heartstrings. This is a truly beautiful poem, my friend, fo I can relate to needing a savior, and that need is from deep within, and you have surfaced that need rightfully so. Another brilliant and heartfelt write.

POWERFUL!!! This is such a well expressed write hun... A thoughtful and direct piece of emotion, woven with a true desire for understanding to come. Dreams are that very substance to cling to, though some do unravel at our feel. This is truly poignant. Great write!!!

Upon a cross He died for one and all
Upon this earth His mission is our call
when in doubt close your eyes
and the blessings one and all will arise.
See the face of your wife, your son, family & friends
those who are blessed by the love that you send.
Within your heart you already have Him
its the Devil trying to get in
Stand firm on foundation my love, you will see,
that the greatest gift has yet been given by thee.
A home land far away, from burdens and these trials
a golden road to victory, full of happiness & smiles.
He has blessed you sweetie, even when we cant see it,
with many things around us, He keeps our passion lit.
I am here for always and a day,
even when I am shoved away...
I am yours.
Love you with all I am, Stay sweet sweet soul
Your Victorious
