This place in my mind
has me captive and all
it's nightmares become
a relentless punisher
for things of my past
There is no light of
hope, only pain abides
inside, as an image of
a younger me cries
out for help, but no
one ever came
My solitude is not one
of comfort, it is the
only place where I am
imprisoned and a scarce
chance that I will survive
this shadow of emptiness
...Perhaps, all is too late...

this is really impressive.. because you gave in the point of view of the picture and not of yours... I loved the ending because somehow it copes with me.. great job on metaphors loved it!

Very dark thoughts flow here, a wonderful take on the picture....I like the ending, sort of mournful. All the best in the contest with it
