Lost battle

She lays on her bed,
Eyes ocean blue.
Her hair covering the pained expression,
She lost the war,
A painful war she'd never forget.

She'd use to smile that could brighten everyones day,
Laugh a beautiful melody.
A true person to have,
Heart of gold.

But she went into battle,
Forgetting to protect the treasure.
Most important thing in her life,
Her heart.

It was good and she let her guard down,
Thinking he was the one.
As couple months pass by,
And then the painful conversation happened.

"All I want is your love"
"I don't want you anymore"
        "Don't do this"
"I'm doing it for you, to protect you"
        "Do you love me?"
"No, no I don't"

The war ended and she lost,
The person she trust and gave everything to.
Destroyed it, shattered it, burned it.
As the flames of darkness grow,
Slowly losing herself.
She was taught:

"It is a heart,
This holocaust I walk in,
O golden child the world will kill and eat."

And it happened,
As lacrymosa fall.
No one calls her anymore,
She's all alone.
And all that's left is a terrible battle scar.

This is beautiful. My one negative comment would be that "lays" should be "lies" in the first line. I like the title as Lost battle, it helps keep the tone (and goes with the background as well as giving you an idea of how the poem will go.
    Well penned.

Lost, I think. Keep the title as it is, I think it signifies the disintegration or end a lot better, it adds to the emotion of the entire poem -

which is pretty damn forceful as it is! My heart ached for the characters. I love it. Thanks for entering!
