If my hand were to touch your hand,
Would that or could that be a sin?
My heart would begin a frantic race.
My flesh would become paper thin.
Every nerve alive in this euphoria.
If I were to see the grace of heaven,
Could you be the angel I would see there?
I would bask in the glow of your eyes.
I could swoon in the smell of your hair.
My wild heart is tamed by your touch.
If my life were ending at this moment,
Would you dare to hold me until the end?
My entire life would have been justified.
Only then would my soul be ready to ascend.
My life began to end in your arms.
If my hand were to touch your hand,
Certainly that could not be a sin.
My heart will be stronger in its pace.
Anticipating this love about to begin.
And we will light up the night together.

I LOVE THIS ONE ALSO
-
pretty good
I like this purely because of the epic lines that are scattered across it;
Would you dare to hold me until the end?
My entire life would have been justified.
Lines like that can change entire poems.
However, when I began reading this it sounded very familiar to one of your previous poems, this might just be a spot of De ja vu' on my part but I thought I'd mention it anyway.
Nonetheless this is an excellent work of art.
