Hold my hand walk with me,
we are friends forever.
Call my name I am here,
I'll not leave you ever.
When you're weak, lean on me,
I am strong, I can hold you.
If you're down and you're blue,
I will pray, God consoles you!
You are a special gift to me
and taught me much about life;
God will soon set you free
how it cuts me like a knife!
So lay down and rest my friend,
death is a beginning not an end!
we are friends forever.
Call my name I am here,
I'll not leave you ever.
When you're weak, lean on me,
I am strong, I can hold you.
If you're down and you're blue,
I will pray, God consoles you!
You are a special gift to me
and taught me much about life;
God will soon set you free
how it cuts me like a knife!
So lay down and rest my friend,
death is a beginning not an end!

Such an inspirational write! Very ardent and heartfelt, so uplifting. Those last two lines were amazing!!! That third stanza was most affecting, brought me near to tears of anguish, but those last two lines brought all together the beauty and the comfort fortitude of a place beyond physical death; the spirit never decays, and how, I felt, it is released, after death, and that is where the real living begins, and from there acceptance and peace seems to come over the reader; though struck with grief, the soul departed in surrounded in grace, peace, and tranquility; and the great, stifling pain of loss seems to lessen. The tone is so moving. Very loving and touching. Well done!!!

Hello.
This is a touching write, the emotions are easily felt for although they are not expressed overtly, there is no denying the strong undercurrent that carries these words. Best of luck in the contest.
My regards.

It's rare in this age of corporate care giving to hear such a story as this. Your love and devotion shine brightly in this tribute to your grandmother. Good luck in the contest.
Sincerely,
Leo Long
