Admittedly my thoughts aren’t pure
when born of mortal yen
But thoughts will roam to realms of dream
and plague the best of men
Am I the one who suffers most?
this solitary sin
Of hoping that some way, some how
true love will come again
Perhaps I should cast off this shell
and let my spirit spend
A day not bound to ruddy earth
thus free to fly with Him
And He could teach me things of love
divine, not merely whim
But then my epitaph might read
“He finally learned, amen”

true love will come again, we found that love and it is going to last a life time. Very good flow of words, And the detail work was awsome. It was a pleasure to read.

Keep going, Leo ...
we all get there finally. Just remember the wise words of your uncle, okay? No wonder the man is a millionaire.
Adios Amigo.

Amen ... Amen!
This poem is so endearing with truth and add to that your touch of end humor and one has to smile and say "that Leo has no end to all of his thoughts!" It's no wonder that you'll have six more volumnes published before you get there ( to heaven that is!). Keep them coming ... joy

In truth, this poem was the brainchild of the thoughts I had after our conversation yesterday. I cherish our friendship and felt as though I may have crossed the line on certain sensebilities by wishing 'out loud' too loudly..lol

I believe in love and that it will find us all..........somewhere along the way. I am hoping that it will find me again before my epitaph is written.
Great poem

There is a nice easy flow here, a tad sad but I like that and at the same time you keep your sense of humor. Be it a spiritual love or an earthly love, it can be found right here on earth. One just needs to keep themselves open to it. Many is the time it finds us just when we aren't looking.
